The Department of Family Services promotes the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of families through community partnerships. The Chronic Disease Prevention Program (CDPP) is part of the Prevention and Health Promotion Unit of the Public Health Division and is a 100% federally funded program. Currently, the grants funding this program emphasize diabetes prevention and management, cardiovascular disease prevention and management, and chronic disease self-management.

Food Pantry open to those in need on Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30.

Veteran callers are connected to local Service Officers that can inform veterans & family members about state and federal benefits. Service Officers assist with forms, claims and coordination, the Medals for Veterans Program, and the Incarcerated Veterans Program. Outreach is conducted throughout the state and territories.

The Life House is a residential treatment center that offers substance abuse treatment to men. While at The Life House, clients are involved in various therapeutic, recreational and community, recovery-oriented activities. Each client is assigned a Clinician upon admission and given a thorough intake interview following which an individualized treatment plan is developed.
