The Department of Family Services promotes the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of families through community partnerships. Local DFS offices can help qualifying families with supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP), child support program, POWER program, child care expense assistance and other needed services.

Memorial Hospital of Carbon County participates in the State of Wyoming’s Department of Health, Aging Division, Community Living sections, Wyoming Home Services program. The program provides services to Wyoming Senior Citizens and disabled adults ages eighteen (18) years of age or older who experience difficulty performing daily tasks on their own. Priorities shall be given to persons who are at risk for premature institutionalization and be in need of the program.

The Wind River Parkinson’s Support Group provides support and occasional educational programs for people with Parkinson's and their care partners.

Offers Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Reservists the opportunity to become members of The American Legion. The Community Cupboard provides prepackaged boxes of food to local residence needing assistance with food once per week. They cannot deliver

Thrift store/boutique, displayed like a typical retail store. Some items set aside for "clearance sale" in the summer. Household items, beds, bedding, TV's, Couches, etc. provided free of charge for those who can't afford it. Done by referral only. Prescription refills, fuel for vehicles for qualifying reasons.

The Department of Family Services’ work centers around three values: 1) Safe at home; 2) Giving families opportunities for success; and 3) Supporting the people who support the families. Families come in contact with the Department for many reasons, including but not limited to, child abuse and neglect services, adult protection services, juvenile justice services, assistance with food or child care, and child care licensing.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at the Cody VA Clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular community outpatient clinic, like the Cody clinic, are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally within the local community. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding holidays.

Frontier Access and Mobility has a vast selection of services, products, and vehicles to keep your life moving. Offering accessible vans, wheelchairs, scooters, lift chairs, vehicle lifts, stair lifts, walking aids, ramps, bath safety products, and various medical equipment.

Call for an emergency food box. From there they will be able to set up when they have bi-monthly food distribution.

The VFW is a nonprofit veteran’s service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, Guard and Reserve forces. The VFW and its Auxiliary are dedicated to veteran’s service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs.

Weston County Newcastle Clinic at 1121 Washington Boulevard is a primary care, family medicine clinic that provides comprehensive care for the entire family through all phases of life, from childhood to senior years. Board certified physicians and advanced practice providers deliver individualized care for patients at this clinic.
