Platte County Legacy Home, where we have been dedicated to providing service for the communities in our county for over 40 years. At Platte County Legacy Home, we strive to provide a continuum of excellent care and service to the aging in a spirit of love, respect, and compassion. We are now in a brand new facility with over 49,947 square feet. We offer semi-private and private rooms, totaling 50 nursing home beds and 16 assisted living beds.

The Modest Means Program (MMP) provides reduced-cost legal assistance to individuals whose annual income is too high to qualify for free legal services, but cannot afford the expertise of attorneys at the standard rate. Attorneys participating in the program agree to assist Modest Means Program clients for no more than $75 an hour and no more than a $500 refillable retainer (if necessary).

Primrose Assisted Living is designed for seniors who want the privacy of an apartment home with the security of 24-hour care and service. Townhome Villas are also available. Independent Living Senior living at Primrose is all about enjoying freedom and vitality while having easy access to everyday conveniences. Our apartments are in the center of the action, close to dining areas, salons and fitness centers. Most Primrose locations feature independent living apartments.

The Department of Family Services promotes the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of families through community partnerships. Local DFS offices can help qualifying families with supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP), child support program, POWER program, child care expense assistance and other needed services.

The VFW is a nonprofit veteran’s service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, Guard and Reserve forces. The VFW and its Auxiliary are dedicated to veteran’s service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs.

We are a non-profit, community outreach, organization. Our outreach focus includes veterans, homeless, and youth in our community. We offer lunch every Thursday to the homeless and those with food insecurities.

The American Legion can assist veterans and service members with a 1 time only emergency financial assistance. This is only as funding permits. Offers Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Reservists the opportunity to become members of The American Legion. Can assist veterans and service members locating local Veteran Service Officers and other persons able to assist with benefit questions and filing of forms and claims.

Individual Habilitation Training is a specialized 1:1 intensive training service to assist a participant with the acquisition or improvement in skills not yet mastered that will lead to more independence and a higher level of functioning. Individual Habilitation Training services are for participants who live with unpaid caregivers or who need less than 24-hour paid supervision and support.

At the heart of our program is a deep commitment to bringing the best possible legal representation to the most underserved, and frequently overlooked, populations within our very own communities. Our firm’s services help fight scams on seniors, provide guardianship to children caught up in contentious family law matters, help people escape abusive relationships, represent families living in unsafe housing conditions, and provide advice to local non-profit and community-based organizations.

Peer lead Trauma-Informed Coaching meetings held in locations across the state designed to meet the needs of Veterans and their families by providing fresh resources that promotes mental health, psychosocial connection, and optimism.

Better Dementia, led by Amy Shaw, PA, provides compassionate education and one-on-one consulting for families caring for someone with dementia. Amy helps families understand what to expect, how to respond, and how to create calm, confident care at every stage of the journey.

We offer three family-style homes and 10 one-bedroom apartments. Our family-style homes and apartments offer residents: A clean, private, and safe living space, Affordable housing options, Personal choice, Support to improve living skills, Support with meal preparation if desired, Opportunities to do things in the community, and Opportunities to make new friends and spend time with family and current friends.

We focus on five area: diabetes, protecting the environment, food insecurity, vision assistance, and preventing childhood cancer.

We provide temporary non-emergent shelter, case management, and direct support services to help families with children under 18 experiencing homelessness work toward independent living goals. We also provide homelessness prevention services like vital document recovery, utility and rent relief, and case management. We also operate a diaper & hygiene pantry that may also provide cleaning products and the Wyoming Kids Closet which provides clothes to any youth.

Veteran callers are connected to local Service Officers that can inform veterans & family members about state and federal benefits. Service Officers assist with forms, claims and coordination, the Medals for Veterans Program, and the Incarcerated Veterans Program. Outreach is conducted throughout the state and territories.
