The Wind River Cares Diabetes Awareness Program offers three services for current diabetic clients. A participant is anyone who has been diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 or Type 2 and applies for services through the Wind River Cares Diabetes Awareness Program (WRCDAP). Participants are eligible for assistance with eyeglasses, podiatry and dentistry.

The Center provides holistic legal representation to Wyoming children or vulnerable adults and their families, children's policy advocacy, and non-legal alternatives to resolve legal problems involving children. Legal services are offered statewide for situations that impact the health, education, safety or well-being of a child or vulnerable adult.

Providing free food assistance for those in need. Also providing meals to elderly and vulnerable adults.

The Department of Family Services promotes the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of families through community partnerships. Local DFS offices can help qualifying families with supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP), child support program, POWER program, child care expense assistance and other needed services.

The American Legion can assist veterans and service members with a 1 time only emergency financial assistance. This is only as funding permits. Offers Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Reservists the opportunity to become members of The American Legion. Can assist veterans and service members locating local Veteran Service Officers and other persons able to assist with benefit questions and filing of forms and claims.

Home Instead offers in-home, non-medical care services for seniors in the Wyoming Counties of Albany, Converse, Laramie, and Natrona. We offer care services such as personal care, transfer assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments. The VFW is a nonprofit veteran’s service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, Guard and Reserve forces. The VFW and its Auxiliary are dedicated to veteran’s service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs.

Wyoming Behavioral Institute is an 81-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Casper providing inpatient care for children 5 and older, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Psychiatric residential treatment is available for girls ages 10 to 17. Outpatient psychiatry is available for children, adolescents, and adults. Telehealth intensive outpatient treatment is offered for youth ages 14 to 17. Outpatient telehealth individual therapy for youth, and their families.

Community Clinic

We offer Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Education for adults and children with diabetes so they can learn the skills necessary to take the best care of themselves and live healthy, active long lives.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at this VA clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular VA clinic are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally for fee basis care within the local community. For emergency care, all Sheridan VA clinics activate the local 911 system and veterans are taken to the local emergency medical facility.

It takes courage to ask for help. We distribute food through our partner agencies and off-site direct service programs. We know life sometimes hands people challenges. Food Bank of Wyoming believes food is a must. No one in Wyoming should go hungry. We have programs and/or partner agencies in every county in Wyoming. Please reach out to find help near you. New Horizons Care Center is located at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains in Lovell, Wyoming. The facility has 85 beds for long-term care and features an Alzheimer's Unit, skilled beds, intermediate care and Assisted Living. The Care Center is affiliated with North Big Horn Hospital District.
