The mental health service within the Sheridan VA Health Care System provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact health and well-being. The services are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan and the community VA clinics located in Afton, Casper, Cody, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland. Veterans can also receive mental health care virtually on their smartphones, tablets or computers.

The Wind River Cares Diabetes Awareness Program offers three services for current diabetic clients. A participant is anyone who has been diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 or Type 2 and applies for services through the Wind River Cares Diabetes Awareness Program (WRCDAP). Participants are eligible for assistance with eyeglasses, podiatry and dentistry.

Comprehensive, specialized medical care to terminally ill persons who have a prognosis of six months or less and are no longer receiving curative/life prolonging treatment. Hospice provides aggressive management of pain and other symptoms consistent with disease progression and the end of life addresses the social, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family through counseling, education and support.

The Wind River Parkinson’s Support Group provides support and occasional educational programs for people with Parkinson's and their care partners.

One22 Resource Center's Financial Assistance programs can help with the costs of housing and emergency needs to build a buffer of time and support for planning and decision making.

We are paving the way by educating mental health professionals about gun culture and breaking negative stigmas around mental health for gun owners. We are saving lives.

Offers Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Reservists the opportunity to become members of The American Legion. Can assist veterans and service members locating local Veteran Service Officers and other persons able to assist with benefit questions and filing of forms and claims.

The Sheridan VA Medical Center pharmacy provides inpatient and outpatient prescriptions from it's location in the Ambulatory Care Clinic of Building 71.

The VFW is a nonprofit veteran’s service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, Guard and Reserve forces. The VFW and its Auxiliary are dedicated to veteran’s service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs.

Lasagna Love started at the beginning of the pandemic when one mom was looking for a way to help moms in her community. She and her toddler started making and delivering meals to families in the neighborhood who were struggling, whether that struggle was financial, emotional, or simply a feeling of overwhelm. Lasagna Love has since grown into an international movement, with thousands of people all cooking and delivering meals to families in their communities.

Local DFS offices can help qualifying families with supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP), child support program, POWER program, child care expense assistance and other needed services.
