The Afton VA Clinic team is proud to support the medical and mental health of area Veterans. While our clinic is small, we're able to provide extensive care options through the Sheridan VA Medical Center, other VA facilities, via national telehealth options or locally within the community. The mental health service within the Sheridan VA Health Care System provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact health and well-being. The services are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan and the community VA clinics located in Afton, Casper, Cody, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland. Veterans can also receive mental health care virtually on their smartphones, tablets or computers.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at the Worland VA Clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular community outpatient clinic, like the Worland clinic, are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally within the local community. Hours of operation (excluding holidays) are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Thursday 8am-2:30pm; Closed Fridays.

Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular VA clinic are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally for fee basis care within the local community. For emergency care, all Sheridan VA clinics activate the local 911 system and veterans are taken to the local emergency medical facility.

Outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. Services can include individual, family, couple or group therapies, psychiatric medication management, supported employment or case management.

CWCC provides mental health services to clients including family and group counseling, psychiatric services, individual, family and marital therapy and evaluations/assessments.

Services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, incest and child abuse. Services include two 24-hour crisis lines, emergency shelter for victims, emergency transportation for victims, support and advocacy, referrals, assistance filing Family Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Orders and Crime Victims Compensation Claim Forms, Civil Legal Advocacy, options and referrals, support groups and community education. All services are free and confidential.
