Originally designated to serve the community’s senior population, in 2009 with construction of our new facility, services and amenities were incorporated to address the needs of the entire community. Now, the Center offers programs and services for residents of all ages; child day care, education, outreach, senior meals, in-home health services, and public-use space for meetings and events.

The University of Wyoming Center on Aging values older adults and works every day to support these neighbors, friends, and family. Through a broad range of programs and resources, the team of professionals at WyCOA is working to optimize the health and wellbeing of Wyoming's older residents through innovative collaborations around chronic disease management, dementia support, and family/healthcare provider education.

Offering workshops for caregivers. The weekly workshops will start Monday September 11th with a light dinner at 5:30pm followed by the workshops and activities for loved ones at 6:30pm.

Alzheimer's Association delivers education & awareness presentations that promote risk reduction, early detection, and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. We provide education that supports caregivers, faith/community/business leaders, health systems, and more so that we may collectively ensure that all who are living with a dementia have the care and support they need. Our Helpline is staffed by masters level trained staff provide who provide support 24/7 at 800-272-3900

Local support to help families and caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses care for their loved ones. We provide – FREE OF CHARGE – direct services, support, encouragement, access to many community resources and techniques to help caregivers meet the challenges of caring for their loved ones. Our goal is to provide vital services to those with dementia and their loved ones, and to be a lifeline for families during this difficult process.
