Lander Medical Clinic and Western Family Care together are a locally owned, multispecialty group practice. Our clinicians provide care in Behavioral Health, Family Medicine, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dietetics, and Same-day Care in a caring and trusted environment. Other services include an onsite lab, infusion, ultrasound, echos & stress tests and mammography.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at this VA clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular VA clinic are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally for fee basis care within the local community. For emergency care, all Sheridan VA clinics activate the local 911 system and veterans are taken to the local emergency medical facility.

The mission of the Wind River Family and Community Health Care Center is to provide primary care, traditional healing, preventive care, and wellness promotion to all members of the community as intended by the Creator. Offering different programs to include Women's Health, School Based Program, Occupational Therapy, Pediatrics, Mobile Clinics, Population Health, Optometry, Nephrology and Laboratory and Radiology services.

The Afton VA Clinic team is proud to support the medical and mental health of area Veterans. While our clinic is small, we're able to provide extensive care options through the Sheridan VA Medical Center, other VA facilities, via national telehealth options or locally within the community. One Health Providers recommend patients complete an annual wellness exam to stay up-to-date on their primary care. During Wellness visits, Providers discuss Preventive Care with patients. Recommended Preventive screenings, immunizations, and other interventions vary per patient based on age and gender. Patients should check with their insurance company to learn what services are covered in a Wellness Visit.
